Impetigo
The following resources may help you find answers related to Impetigo symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and research.
Definition: Impetigo is a skin infection caused by bacteria. Usually the cause is staphylococcal (staph) but sometimes streptococcus (strep) can cause it, too. It is most common in children between the ages of two and six. It usually starts when bacteria get into a break in the skin, such as a cut, scratch or insect bite.
Symptoms start with red or pimple-like sores surrounded by red skin. These sores can be anywhere, but usually they occur on your face, arms and legs. The sores fill with pus, then break open after a few days and form a thick crust. They are often itchy, but scratching them can spread the sores. Impetigo can spread by contact with sores or nasal discharge from an infected person. You can treat Impetigo with antibiotics.

Impetigo Q&AThe following questions and answers are provided by Yahoo! Answers
Recently, I experienced a few bumps in the general area of my upper legs and a small itchy spot inside my labia. They're not really that bothersome at all, though I'm still somewhat concerned. I had a small sore on my lip (never experienced cold sores before and neither has my boyfriend), and possibly had oral sex during the time this sore was present. What is the likelihood that you could get genital herpes from an oral herpes infection on yourself?

Right, I went to see a private dermatolagist a while back, and he perscribed me duac to deal with my recurrent impetigo. Tbh, it doesnt really work that well, and my impetigo normally comes from where i had a small spot before.
Any doctors/dermatolagists that can help me out?
Is duac actually used for treating impetigo?

I think my daughter has a cold sore but I am not sure. She has what looks like a cluster of blisters with white heads on her lower lip, they haven't burst yet. Should I take her to the doctor tomorrow? I got a few cold sores when I was a kid but haven't had one in quite some time. Shes acting normally(not sick, no fever) and the blister doesn't seem to be bothering her.
