Definition: An aggressive (fast-growing) type of B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that occurs most often in children and young adults. The disease may affect the jaw, central nervous system, bowel, kidneys, ovaries, or other organs. There are three main types of Burkitt’s lymphoma (sporadic, endemic, and immunodeficiency related). Sporadic Burkitt’s lymphoma occurs throughout the world, and endemic Burkitt’s lymphoma occurs in Africa. Immunodeficiency-related Burkitt’s lymphoma is most often seen in AIDS patients.

Hi all,
I was recently very ill (102 degree fever for 3 days, swollen glands, extreme sore throat, extreme body ache, earaches, nausea, etc). I got blood work done at the doctors and when it came back, I was told I have chronic EBV. My mono tests came back negative and my kidney and liver function tests came back fine. I was told all this over the phone so I did not really ask any questions. So basically I just wanted to know, what does all this mean? I can't seem to find anything online about...
I was diagnosed with EBV about 8 years ago, along with Fibromyalgia and a few other things that go hand in hand,and since then and before, it's been very frustrating to try to live a normal or at least close to a normal life. My grandmother was recently doagnosed with Berkets Lymphoma. She is a patient at Moffet Medical Center in Tampa and has some different reactions to the medictation and chemo. She is now at her local hospital with internal bleeding, however the doctors cannot find the origin. She is not in any pain, but they are afraid to send her to Moffet because something could possibly rupture. Does anyone have any ideas??? Doctors help please!!!
